ABOUT HEISMAN SCHOLARSHIP
The Heisman Trophy Trust and Wendy’s collaborated to establish the Heisman High School Scholarship in 1994. The program has benefited from the Heisman Memorial Trophy’s recognition as a testament to exceptional talent mixed with perseverance, hard work, and dedication since its beginnings.
The Heisman High School Scholarship program honors and rewards exceptional male and female scholar-athletes who recognize that the most significant victories occur not only on the field but also in their schools and communities, extending the Heisman prestige to the most prestigious high school seniors in the country.
In addition to giving hundreds of thousands of dollars in college scholarships to deserving students and more than a million dollars to high school academic and athletic programs nationwide, the program has honored more than 600,000 of the most distinguished high school seniors in the country over the course of the previous 28 years.
The most successful, civic-minded high school athletes in the country are recognized through the Heisman High School Scholarship program. The program aims to inspire all students to harness their potential, push their limits, and use their talents not only to advance their own futures but also to better the communities and world around them. Male and female students from schools across the country are invited to share their stories of leadership and impact.
